Situation:

The city government was creating its own institute, which would require new organizational development, knowledge, culture-building, and employee engagement activities. They turned to TrainSmart to help the launch go smoothly.

The TrainSmart Process:

TrainSmart created a one-of-the-kind train-the-trainer training program that included training for a group of 33 City employees in curriculum development, public speaking, adult interactive learning, classroom dynamics, and evaluation methods.

Results:

Once trained, these individuals developed a curriculum and lead SMI knowledge and skills development courses and workshops. The results of the training have been positive. With a successful launch underway, the City staff has now taken the program and delivered it without the consultant’s help or involvement. In the future, the City hopes to train additional City staff so they would also be able to be SMI Trainers.
